EMERGENCY FUND

by Cambodian American Girls Empowering

Dear community, Due to COVID-19, CAGE's future performances and other commissioned work is in limbo. This puts our financial health at risk. We are asking for your support to sustain us through these uncertain times.

Dear Community,

Due to COVID-19, CAGE's number 1 funding streams are in limbo.  We generate much of our financial stability through performances, workshops, and other commissioned works.  In an effort to keep our community and ourselves safe, we are practicing spacial distancing and limiting our work to virtual media.  At this time, it puts a great strain on our financial wellbeing as a volunteer-led organization.

At this time, we are asking for your support to sustain us through these uncertain times.  Our goal is to raise $5,000 by April 16th, 2020 to help us:
  • Maintain our studio space at Bok
    • At Bok we offer the following public programs: weekly Khmer Language & Arts classes (in partnership with CAGP), Painting with a Khmer Twist nights, Professional Dance Troupe development, Open Practices, and more!
    • We share the space with two other amazing Southeast Asian organizations/individuals

      • Intense cleaning of the studio, re-implementing public programming, re-organizing our strategic plan for the year, and more

We greatly appreciate your support and generosity over the last five years.  In October 2020, we will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary and had planned to launch this campaign then but starting early isn't too bad!  Our goal is to raise $5,000 by the time Khmer New Year comes around so that we can begin implementing our programmatic start-up by May 2020.

CAGE is a volunteer-led organization.  The donations collected in this campaign will go directly towards CAGE's mission in providing safe and courageous spaces to explore Khmer American identity, art, and culture.  We are dedicated to our art-forms and sharing it with you!
